SPEAKING

A Different Conversation About Energy, Health, and What It Takes to Keep Going.

______

I bring more than three decades in healthcare, federal advocacy experience, and a personal journey through loss, illness, recovery, and restoration to every stage I step onto.

My talks combine lived experience, healthcare perspective, and practical frameworks that invite audiences to think differently about energy, resilience, and what sustainable performance really requires.

_____

In May 2017, I was invited by the Hepatitis B Foundation to share my story at a U.S. Congressional briefing on hepatitis B in Washington, D.C.

I spoke as a storyteller and pharmacist about my family's experience with hepatitis B and liver cancer, my own diagnosis, the silence and stigma surrounding the disease, and the need for continued commitment toward a cure.

A Conversation Many High-Performing Audiences Need

______

Today's leaders and high-achieving professionals carry enormous responsibility. They lead teams, build organizations, care for families, solve problems, and keep showing up.

Yet beneath that performance, many are quietly depleted.

My speaking work challenges the idea that pushing harder is always the answer.

What if sustainable performance begins not with demanding more from ourselves, but with understanding what is draining our capacity?

I invite audiences into a different conversation — one that considers energy, restoration, resilience, and the conditions we need to continue doing meaningful work without continually running ourselves down.

RESTORATION, NOT BURNOUT

A New Conversation About Sustainable Performance

What if exhaustion isn't always a signal to push harder but an invitation to understand what's draining our capacity?

This talk challenges the culture of constant overdrive and introduces a restoration-centered framework for sustaining energy, clarity, and performance over time.

FROM TIRED TO THRIVING

A New Energy Playbook

Energy isn't simply something we have or don't have.

Bunmi explores the everyday patterns that can quietly drain our capacity and introduces practical ways to support recovery, resilience, and sustainable vitality — without relying on extremes or another temporary push.

BEATING THE ODDS

Energy, Resilience & Voice as an Accomplished Woman

Drawing from more than three decades in healthcare and her own journey through illness, loss, advocacy, recovery, and restoration, Bunmi explores what it means to protect your energy, maintain your voice, and remain connected to yourself while carrying significant responsibility.

Originally presented at the Voices of Women Virtual Summit, 2026.

SPECIALIZED LIVER HEALTH & ADVOCACY TALK

ENDING THE SILENCE

Liver Health, Stigma & the Power of Hope

Drawing from the loss of her father and younger brother to liver cancer, her own experience living with chronic hepatitis B, and her journey from silence to federal advocacy and functional cure, Bunmi brings a deeply personal perspective to liver health conversations.

Through story, education, and advocacy, she explores how knowledge can reduce fear, how stigma can keep people silent, and why informed, compassionate communities matter.

Audiences leave with:

  • Greater understanding of the human impact of hepatitis B and chronic liver conditions

  • Increased awareness of how fear and stigma can contribute to silence and isolation

  • A stronger appreciation for the role of education, screening, appropriate medical care, and informed self-advocacy

  • Practical questions and ideas for becoming more engaged in their own care or supporting someone they love

  • A message of hope grounded in lived experience without minimizing the seriousness of chronic liver disease

What Audiences Take Away

______

Depending on the audience and topic, participants leave with:

  • A new way of thinking about energy, depletion, and sustainable performance

  • Greater awareness of the signals we often overlook while continuing to function

  • A practical framework for moving from pushing through toward restoration

  • Simple, realistic ways to support energy, resilience, and recovery in everyday life

  • A renewed understanding that sustainable performance doesn't have to come at the expense of personal well-being

In Their Own Words

______

What I enjoyed most about the Summit was Bunmi's story and the panel discussion. Her personal story was the most valuable part of the day — and the idea I'll remember most is that there's hope for restoration.
